BGMI version 2.1 update is finally here and it brings multiple new additions and the first ever virtual concert of Battlegrounds Mobile India featuring K-pop girl group Blackpink.
Popular battle royale shooter Battlegrounds Mobile India released the BGMI version 2.1 update yesterday, July 14. The update size was 600 MB for iOS and 2.3GB for Android platform. Among a plethora of changes and new additions, the biggest highlight of the update was the game’s first ever virtual concert. And the concert will feature one of the biggest K-pop sensations, Blackpink. While in-game concerts are becoming more popular these days with Fortnite hosting its Travis Scott concert and Garena Free Fire planning its first in-game concert with Justin Bieber, this will be one of its kind event for BGMI. BGMI version 2.1 update brings Blackpink for a ‘first-ever’ virtual concert
Fans of the South Korean girl group Blackpink will finally be able to experience a virtual concert while inside their favorite mobile game. But in order to watch the concert, they will need to secure tickets. Players can collect their free tickets starting July 16. They will also have to preload the Concert Resource Pack in order to join the concert. Players will also be able to download Blackpink music from July 19 onwards.
The concert takes place on July 23 and 24. Both the days, there will be two shows between 3 PM – 5 PM IST and 10 PM – 12 PM IST. Apart from this, there will be two more shows on July 30 and 31 at 7:30 AM and 5:30 AM respectively. A special track and a new music video has also been created specifically for this collaboration. The new Blackpink song will be unveiled both in the game and BGMI’s social media handles.
Apart from this, the BGMI version 2.1 update also allows players to grab custom-made performance outfits that Blackpink will be performing in. The outfits can be obtained between July 23 to August 31. The four outfits will be worn by the group members Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa.
