As UFC 282 Approaches on December 10, 2022, in Las Vegas, many people are looking forward to the return of Darren Till as he faces Rising UFC Star Dricus Du Plessis and everyone in England will have their eyes on Darren. With a record of six wins, four losses and one draw during his time in the UFC, Darren is up against rising star Dricus Du Plessis and going into the fight right now he is an underdog on all betting lines. Darren is stating he is going to rip off the head of Du Plessis.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor from the United States, Dr. Patrick Argiro aka Cousin Pat has interviewed Dricus Du Plessis, and gives his thoughts on the upcoming fight and the mental state of Darren Till as he faces Dricus Du Plessis.

Cousin Pat states that this is a big fight for Darren, losing two in a row and going back to Vegas to face an upcoming star in Du Plessis is a challenge and now being an underdog could affect his confidence.

Cousin Pat continued that although Darren Till trains with Khamzat Michaev, Darren is the one who must fight Dricus Du Plessis. Dr. Argiro continued that when he spoke with Dricus Du Plessis he had a balanced confidence and it showed during their conversation.

Darren Till has lost two fights in a row and has not fought since September 04, 2021, at UFC Fight Night: Brunson vs. Till as the main event.

It is also important to consider that he is going back to the same town where he lost to Brunson. It is possible that with time off, knee surgery, being off for so long, ring rust, as well as being back in Las Vegas where he lost last time he fought, could all be looked upon as some type of mental disadvantage for Darren Till.

Cousin Pat cannot say with 100% certainty if this is the case, however this all could affect certain individuals or athletes’ mental state if they were in Till’s situation.

Only time will tell how this will all take place and how the British MMA star will react to these circumstances when UFC 282 occurs on December 10, 2022, in Las Vegas.  One thing is for certain, all of London, all of England will be cheering on Darren Till as he is back on pay-per-view.

This is the final pay-per-view event of 2022, and all fight fans will be getting an intriguing middleweight matchup with Darren Till vs. Dricus Du Plessis. If Darren Till can get a win, this would be a good sign as he heads into the New Year.

Du Plessis, who is 3-0 in the UFC with his most recent appearance producing a unanimous decision over Brad Tavares at UFC 276. As the former KSW champion, Du Plessis knocked out Markus Perez at UFC Fight Island 5 and Trevin Giles at UFC 264.

UFC 282 now has five confirmed fights for the main card. The current line-up is as follows:

  • Bryce Mitchell vs. Ilia Topuria
  • Darren Till vs. Dricus Du Plessis
  • Robbie Lawler vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio
  • Paddy Pimblett vs. Jared Gordon
  • Darren Till vs. Dricus Du Plessis
  • Jan Blachowicz vs. Magomed Ankalaev for the vacant UFC Light Heavyweight Title
