During a trip to Florida on Tuesday, President Biden plans to warn that plans offered by Republicans could put the benefits of millions of Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security beneficiaries at risk and lead to higher health-care premiums and prescription-drug costs.
At an event in Hallandale Beach, Fla., aimed at seniors, Biden is expected to point to a new White House analysis of how many people could be affected by plans floated by leading Republicans ahead of the midterms, including the repeal of the Inflation Reduction Act, which included provisions aimed at lowering prescription drug costs.
