Having closed its original New York hot spot, Osteria Morini, in 2024, the Altamarea Group is opening this new version nearby. With a somewhat smaller footprint and the executive chef, Bill Dorrier, in charge, it still features the fresh pastas and small plates typical of Emilia-Romagna, but now of other regions, too. Holdovers from the original include mascarpone cappelletti with truffles, and gramigna with sausage ragù. (Wednesday)

Le Sixth
There’s no shortage of French bistros in the West Village. This intimate new contender is from the chef and restaurateur Philippe Orrico, who worked in prestigious kitchens in Europe and Hong Kong and in New York at the American edition of Fouquet’s in TriBeCa. Some of his interpretations of French fare take on whiffs of chiles, soy sauce and shiso. The format is à la carte and a five-course tasting ($145), and also small plates like red tuna tataki at the 10-seat bar.

Yamasaki, Bueno
There’s a twofer in the landmark building at 25 Broad Street in the financial district. SK Hospitality Group has installed Yamasaki, a handsome Japanese restaurant and bar on the ground floor with Steve Song, the culinary director of the company, as chef. Sushi rolls, seafood and Wagyu dishes are on the menu. Beneath this restaurant in an elegant room lined with brass safe deposit boxes there are tapas and other dishes derived from Mexico, Peru, Argentina and Spain. Mr. Song is the chef here, too.

Palermo Argentinian Bistro
The third of this chainlet of parrilladas, where beef from Argentina sizzles on the grill and the wine list looks to destinations like Mendoza, has opened in time to show the World Cup on its screens. There are empanadas, ceviche and humita (a cheesy corn dish) to start, then seven beef options, including the traditional Argentine picanha.
