A Holiday Soundtrack for Modern Times: It Is NOT Your Gramma’s Christmas Music with the Tinselfirs!

The rush of the icy breeze, a fuzzy red Santa cap, hot cocoa, and, oh no, the same twenty holiday songs that play on repeat ad nauseam for weeks on end! Not with the Tinselfirs! With the goal of adding enough new, original, and most of all modern Christmassy-time songs to the canon that, in an eight-hour shift, you’ll never hear the same song twice, the Tinselfirs are on their way with 21 all-original, modern Christmas songs, celebrating classic themes with modern techniques and mores. This is not your Gramma’s Christmas music. With songs like edgy, almost dark ‘Snowy Weather’, everybody’s favorite holiday booty call song, ‘Holiday Hookup’, sassy and sexy even, ‘A Lil Naughty’, and completely surprising, Preferably Naughty, which totes a witch’s cackle, the Tinselfirs take holiday music to another level. Of course, we must acknowledge ‘Hello Christmas’, a song that is quickly becoming to the winter holidays what pumpkin spice lattes are to fall. Their second album features three club bangers, because as Vocalist Draya says, “Going to a club at Christmas time and hearing regular songs is just sad. We just couldn’t have it, so we made some bangers you gotta shake it to during the holidays!”

Tinselfirs, a husband-and-wife duo, who met working at a pizza shop in Kansas a couple of decades ago, strive to create a new twist on the holidays, calling themselves Christmas Creatives and their sound Folktonephoplatronik, which incorporates their vast and worldly experience as military brats, Will living many years abroad in Europe and Draya all over the United States and Mexico. Their diverse experiences and long, twisting love story inspire many of their holiday tunes, some sweet and some even steamy; either way, they have a unique knack of intertwining modern elements into classic themes to create an unforgettable and infectious modern Christmassy-time soundtrack that everyone needs.

Tinselfirs bring a fresh, original take to Christmas music, offering an experience far beyond the traditional tunes you grew up with. Their debut album ‘Hello Christmas’ features 10 original, fun, and classic sounds with refreshing and surprising twists. Their second album ‘Preferably Naughty’ has 10 original modern songs that Draya calls “good clean naughty fun” on par with ‘Santa Baby’, ‘Backdoor Santa’, or ‘Baby it’s Cold Outside’, but doing it in only their way for the modern era. Together, the two albums are over an hour of Christmassy-time musical yum, getting them closer to their goal of eight hours of new original modern holiday tunes. With three new projects in the mix, a misfit toys tale, something for the Santa fanatics, and a kids collection, with release plans beginning next fall into 2027, the duo will continue to honor their signature sound, weaving together modern elements with classic themes to delight fans and holiday lovers who enjoy a twist -or few.

“Hello Christmas” and “Preferably Naughty” are available on their Tinselfirs website, YouTube, or Patreon. Usher in the holiday season with Tinselfirs modern Christmas soundtrack.
