With over two decades of experience in motion graphics, branding, education, and media consultancy, his work has touched everything from prime-time television to university classrooms, book covers, and national campaigns. Debasish Das is a motion graphics artist, branding leader, and educator who has not only shaped how we see stories but how we feel them.
The Face Behind Broadcast Design at Maasranga Television
Since 2011, Debasish Das has held the role of Deputy Manager, Graphics at Maasranga Television—one of Bangladesh’s leading television networks. His creative leadership has helped revolutionize the channel’s visual identity, seamlessly blending aesthetic design with real-time news demands. But his career didn’t begin there. Between 2007 and 2011, he made his mark at RTV and Jamuna Television, where he introduced concept-driven graphics that redefined broadcast presentation in the country. His foundation as a visual storyteller can be traced back even further to his early teaching roles at Scholastic Group and the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP), where he inspired young minds to engage creatively with media.
A Teacher at Heart and Across Disciplines
Debasish Das is more than a media professional—he is a dedicated academic voice. Since 2018, he has been a faculty member at Pathshala South Asian Media Institute, where he teaches in the Department of Film and Television. His expertise was further recognized by the University of Dhaka, where he joined as a guest lecturer in 2022 in the Department of Television, Film and Photography. By 2025, he expanded his academic contribution by teaching in the Department of Japanese Studies. His role as an educator across disciplines shows his unique ability to bridge art, media, and communication with cultural context.
From Branding to Boardrooms
Beyond broadcasting, Debasish Das has become a sought-after consultant and strategist in the world of digital branding. Since 2010, he has served as Brand Consultant for Laser Treat Ltd., while also playing leadership roles such as Chief Technical Officer at Sun News, Creative Director at Amar Bangla, and Director of Brand at Unisun. His portfolio extends to organizations like The Press Today, Blue Ribbon Associates, Sun Box, New York Bangla Life, and Christian Commission for Development in Bangladesh (CCDB), where he advises on creative consistency, brand messaging, and visual storytelling across platforms.
Jury Recognition at an International Level
In 2025, Debasish Das was invited to serve as a judge for the Motion Graphics Contest 2025, organized by Pathshala South Asian Media Institute. With the theme “For a Better, Greener Earth,” this international event welcomed participants from five countries. Das, alongside Sk Monoar Nahid and Mohammad Zakaria, evaluated more than a hundred motion design projects based on their creativity, environmental messaging, and storytelling impact. At the award ceremony, he was honored with a crest in recognition of his contribution to the future of environmentally conscious design.

Debasish Das’s outstanding work has not gone unnoticed. In 2025, he received the Star Bangladesh Award as Digital Branding Leader of the Year, and the Excellence in Success Award for Best Motion Graphics Artist in Program Branding. These followed his 2024 recognition from global firm Laser Treat, which named him Best in Brand Communication. These awards underscore not only his creative excellence but also his lasting influence on how audiences experience media in Bangladesh and beyond.
Beyond Screens: Design in Print and Publishing
Debasish Das’s creative reach extends far beyond screens. As a prolific print designer, he has created more than 200 book covers, working with some of Bangladesh’s most respected authors. Each cover is more than just a design—it’s a visual prologue, an invitation into the story. His ability to translate emotion into visuals has made him a go-to designer in the world of publishing.
