A talent for speed tasting (and accurate spitting) is what you’ll need to get through more than 75 Burgundies, Champagnes and Rhône wines in two hours in a Brooklyn backyard. The marathon fund-raising tasting, on Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:30, is all to benefit the nonprofit Sommelier Scholarship Fund created by La Paulée, the wine event company. It will include producers like Faiveley, Bouchard and Moreau-Naudet Burgundies; Gosset and Savart from Champagne; and Graillot and Gerin from the Rhône. It will also help finance trips for young somms. Food from Billy Durney of Hometown BBQ, Daniel Eddy of Winner and Chris McDade of Popina, the host restaurant, will be served.
