Gresha Marguerite Theodora Schuilling, born on May 15, 1983, is recognized in the realm of Contemporary Christian music (CCM) for her multifaceted talents as a producer, singer, songwriter, and worship leader. Her musical journey began in Saudi Arabia, where she developed an affinity for music production. Despite briefly diverting from vocalization, an encounter with her spiritual father, Prophet Jerome Fernando, reignited her calling. She is an active member of The Glorious Church under the leadership of Prophet Jerome Fernando and Pastor Melanie Fernando.
Schuilling’s early musical inclinations were nurtured when she received her first keyboard, exploring the melody of Elvis Presley’s “Wooden Heart.” Growing up in the diverse atmosphere of Jeddah due to her father’s profession, her cosmopolitan upbringing became integral to her musical ethos.
In the early 2000s, Schuilling collaborated with notable figures in the Sri Lankan music scene, such as Iraj Weeraratne with “Roots” and Diliup Gabadamudalige on “We’re Calling the World”. With her emotive voice, she made significant contributions to Sri Lankan music, particularly after the 2004 tsunami. She also revitalized a number of compositions by Nimal Mendis, gaining international recognition for her singing on “Open Every Door”, which was featured on CNN, presented at the UK Parliament and released for World Autism Awareness Day designated by the United Nations on 2nd April 2008.
Despite a career in hospitality in the Middle East, Schuilling returned to her musical roots in 2022, releasing her album “whispering HOPE” under her independent label, whispering HOPE Records. Collaborating with musicians across the globe, the album offers a cohesive worship experience, drawing inspiration from biblical teachings. Themes of mercy, redemption, and faith are central to the album. Schuilling’s resonant contralto, revealed in her formative years, defines her musical identity.
In her personal life, Schuilling married Sudhindra Yadhati in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and they have a son named Dylan Tristan Schuilling Yadhati. Her commitment is to use her musical skills to share messages of hope and grace with diverse audiences.
